Commemorative Benches

A commemorative bench at one of our nature reserves is a fantastic way to celebrate the life of a loved one or a special event such as a birth, christening,  wedding anniversary, maybe a milestone for your club or organisation.

Plank benches sit well within the reserve landscape, positioned so people can rest and take in the view.  Benches cost £800 each, including supply and installation.

• The cost includes general maintenance and minor repairs as required for the expected lifetime of the bench (10 years max), which will be carried out by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust (HWT) or their contractors
• A 50% non-returnable deposit is required prior to ordering 
• Installation of the bench will be carried out by HWT or their contractors
• You may add your own plaque once the bench is installed at your own cost but the size and content of plaques must be agreed with HWT
• Benches are made from Forest Stewardship Council certified untreated hardwood timber, locally sourced where possible
• Any maintenance or repairs that the applicant wishes to carry out must be agreed with HWT
• In the case of major damage to the bench, applicants will be contacted to discuss options which may include replacement or removal of the bench.  In this case the applicant may be liable for any costs incurred depending on the cause of the damage
• The style, supplier and location of the bench are the decisions of HWT.
