Hereford ~ River City
We're supporting a number of projects, initiatives and groups working to create a wilder Hereford city with natural green spaces for wildlife and people and thriving waterways from the mighty River Wye to the hidden brooks and streams that cross the city.
Our goals are to:
- Improve the habitats along the streams and brooks running through the city
- Restore and manage floodplain meadows in and around the city
- Connect people to nature on their doorstep through improving access and providing activities and volunteering opportunities
- Increase the number of spaces for nature in the city - including creating a new wetland nature reserve on the site of the old Essex Arms on the Link Road
