Event Volunteer
General Information:
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is a member of The Wildlife Trusts, a nationwide network of local trusts that work to protect wildlife in town and country. Through their care of a network of nature reserves and a range of other conservation and education activities, The Wildlife Trusts are striving for a UK richer in wildlife. Volunteers are vital not only to practical conservation tasks but also the administrative work that is required to support and promote membership, management of reserves, project work and events.
Main tasks:
- Assistance with Setup and Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of event materials, including tables, chairs, decorations, and signage.
- Guest Registration: Greet guests, manage registration processes, distribute name tags, and provide event-related information.
- Support Event Operations: Help maintain the cleanliness and organisation of event spaces, replenish supplies as needed, and assist with any technical or logistical issues.
- Attendee Assistance: Provide assistance and directions to attendees, answer inquiries, and ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.
- Support Event Activities: Assist with various event activities, such as workshops, demonstrations, or talks, by helping with setup, participant management, and cleanup.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other volunteers and event organisers to ensure seamless execution of event logistics and activities.
