Westons Cider
Westons joined us as Investors in Wildlife in 2019 and the team got stuck straight in taking part in the #30DaysWild challenge with their staff!
We have been working with Westons on the ground too, visiting their Cider Mill and farm and together we have created a nature trail for the public to enjoy, wildlife walks and bug hotels on the site.
The farm at Westons has some great habitats and sustainable land management practices including a wetland created through a reedbed filtration system, veteran trees, traditional orchards, hedgerows and wild bird seed margins.
Most recently, we have been working in partnership to develop a range of blogs and social media posts, to educate our communities about the rich and diverse wildlife we find in orchard habitats, and how important it is to protect this precious eco-system. Our current focus is how the orchard habitat changes We hope to inspire people to get out and explore Herefordshire's orchards and hopefully spot some amazing species.
