Ice Age Explorer: Woolly Rhino
Woolly Rhino
Also at the watering hole would be woolly rhinos, their wool kept them warm in the cold and icy weather. Unlike the rhinos in Africa that are around today, these rhinos lived in the Ice Age. And yes, you guessed it, there was ice covering everything you can see for miles around!

The ice sheets melting and freezing again in the glacial retreat phase caused many of the features we see today, including the hummocky moraine that gives Herefordshire it's lumpy bumpy look.
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust has partnered with The Earth Heritage Trust for this project and to read more on the geology
and to listen to the brilliant geology talk
