About the event

We are joined by experts from the Floodplain Meadows Partnership and Herefordshire Meadows who are working with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust in the restoration of the Meadows. 

  • Introduction to the Meadows, recent history and plans for restoration 

  • Introduction to Floodplain Meadows, their history, ecology and current conservation status. 

  • Bartonsham Meadows Progress to date and plans for the future.  

  • Intro to restoration at other sites, case studies  

  • Monitoring techniques, botanical, hydrological, fauna, soil 

  • Site visit to Bartonsham Meadows ( a short walk from the venue) to look at how the land is being managed in different ways and look at plants, soils. 

This event is part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund Project ‘Restoring Bartonsham Meadows’. 

Talks will begin promptly at 10am, you are welcome to join us from 9.30 for a cup of tea or coffee.
