Basic Woodworking: free training

About the Course
Join us to learn some basic woodworking skills, including whittling, processing timber, and making bespoke items such as fence panels and animal habitat boxes.
Are you unemployed or economically inactive? Aged 19 or over? This FREE training will give you an opportunity to learn basic woodworking skills and to make items such as bird boxes. It will also cover areas including green woodwork techniques, splitting and processing timber, and simple whittling.
You will be able to take some of the items you make home to put in your garden for wildlife.

Basic Woodworking (7 week course)
Venue : Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum
Time: 10am to 1pm
Dates: This course starts on Tuesday 1st November 2022, and then runs every week as follows: Wed 9th, Tues 15th, Wed 23rd, Tues 29th Nov; Wed 7th, Tues 13th Dec.
