Work Experience

Work Experience

We understand how important it is for young people to get work experience as they prepare for college, university and employment. Working for a Wildlife Trust offers variety and fulfilment, with many different roles from those on the ground delivering conservation and nature restoration projects to those behind the scenes in marketing and finance. Every role supports our vision, a wilder Herefordshire: More nature everywhere.

For 14 - 18 year olds

We are developing a programme which we hope to roll out in the Summer of 2025, enabling those aged 14-18 to apply for a week of work experience ranging from practical work on our nature reserves and supporting nature recovery projects to joining in with WildPlay and working in our shops and cafe. More details will appear here and on our social media channels as opportunities arise.

For 18 -25 year olds

If you are 18 – 25 and would like to gain some work experience, then you can sign up as a volunteer and current opportunities will be shared with you.
