Note: This role can take place at locations across the county
Guiding children of all ages in activities and free play sessions as part of the Wildplay Team. Join us in the community and on site at Queenswood. From Forest School fire lighting and den building to scrap art and water play on community playing fields to Eastnor castle for insect hunts, apple pressing and mud kitchens. Our Wildplay volunteers need an ability to connect with children and their parents, an interest in nature and a desire to connect young people to their environment.
Sessions can be anything from 2 hours to all day/half a day in Herefordshire. Free parking at Queenswood is included as a thank you to our volunteers
Main tasks:
- Running specific activities and free play sessions as part of the Wildplay Team.
- Working with children to engage with the outdoors
Skills/Qualities Needed
- Love of Nature and/or love of creativity
- Happy to be outside in all weathers
- Comfortable working in a team
- Experience working or volunteering with children and families
- Given the role is working with young people a DBS check will be needed, this can be completed as part of the volunteer induction
