Volunteering alongside other nature enthusiasts to help a species thrive. During the spring toad migration, we help the toads to safely cross the road to get to their breeding ground at Bodenham lake, the season can start from February and can run as late as April. Patrollers go out on any night when the weather is suitable and collect and release the toads.
Main tasks:
• To support the migration of a species during their spring migration. To safety enable them to cross the road and reach their breeding ground. 
• To monitor and survey amphibians during spring migration. 
Skills/Qualities 
• Curious about nature and wildlife.
• A wish to work with and learn about amphibians.
• Experience volunteering with a group of likeminded individuals. 
• Happy to be outdoors whatever the weather. 
• Friendly and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work as part of a team. 
• Willing to commit to one evening per week during toad patrol period. 
• All patrollers must attend the meeting on 7th January 6pm-7:30pm, in the Jubilee Building, Queenswood Country Park.
Training
The Volunteer will receive an initial induction to the Trust. They will receive any further training required for the role as well as the opportunity to attend ad-hoc training alongside other volunteers.
Confidentiality
The volunteer may sometimes have access to sensitive or embargoed information on business issues. The Volunteer is expected to respect confidentiality and exercise discretion where necessary in line with our volunteering policies

Please note, you will need to attend a 'Kick-Off Meeting' at Queenswood.
