Each year, a group of volunteers complete butterfly transects at Queenswood Country Park and Oak Tree Farm Nature Reserve. This helps us monitor the impacts of management interventions and contributes to national data records.

You need to have reasonable ID skills for UK butterfly species and be able to dedicate around a few hours every month.

The surveys are completed once a week with each survey lasting around 1 to 1.5 hours and volunteers work on a four week rota from April until September.
