New issue of The Flycatcher published

After a short hibernation, The Flycatcher is back with issue 88 out now!

The Flycatcher is a natural history journal for Herefordshire, published by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust but with contributions from conservationists across the county.

After decades of steering the publication brilliantly, The Flycatcher's Editor, Peter Garner, stepped down in 2023. We are hugely grateful to Peter for the time, knowledge and passion he put into The Flycatcher over many years and look forward to continuing his legacy.

A new editorial team formed in 2024 and the latest issue, this team's first, is out now!

This issue, and back issues, are now available to read online for free: The Flycatcher | Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and printed copies are available to purchase from our charity shops in Hereford and Ledbury, our visitor centre at Queenswood Country Park and in our online shop: Natural History and the Great Outdoors

The latest issue, number 88, includes articles on diverse topics from the Herefordshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy to Carabid beetles as well as notable records and wildlife highlights from the past year.

If you are interested in submitting an article for consideration for the next issue, please contact the editorial team via Frances Weeks: f.weeks@herefordshirewt.co.uk
