WildPlay Thinks Differently

WildPlay Thinks Differently

We are delighted to announce a new programme connecting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) to nature through nature based play and new experiences. The programme is funded by Herefordshire Council and will run in the spring and summer of 2025.

About the Programme

For many children and young people with SEN, accessing affordable activities that support their needs can be a challenge. We know that spending time in nature is beneficial to mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Through this programme there will be opportunities to making new friends and socialise with others, have fun in nature, learn new skills, try new things, and build confidence. All done through self-directed activities in a natural and safe setting led by our experienced WildPlay nature rangers.

We are offering sessions in 8 week blocks, running for 2 hours per week after school in termtime only. Sessions are for of 8-12 year old and 16 -25 year olds. Groups will be kept small for maximum interaction and support.
