Frequently Asked Questions
By giving a gift in memory of a loved one, you are directly taking action for nature across Herefordshire, keeping places wild for generations to come. Leaving a gift in memory may seem like a complicated process. To help, we have put together a short guide of frequently asked questions to help make the process easier.
If you have any unanswered questions or would like to speak to a member of the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust team about leaving a gift in your will, contact Josie, lead staff member for Legacies and In Memory Giving at j.croft@herefordshirewt.co.uk.
How do I send my donation to Herefordshire Wildlife Trust?
There are three ways you can send your donation or collection in memory to Herefordshire Wildlife Trust
- Online via our Donation Portal
- By sending a Cheque made payable to Herefordshire Wildlife Trust to 'Fundraising Team, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum, Dinmore Hill, Nr Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 0PY'
- By dropping your collection off at our headquarters at Queenswood. Please contact Josie, Lead Staff Memeber for In Memory Giving, to arrange a date to do this at j.croft@herefordshirewt.co.uk
A Funeral Director is organising the funeral collection, what information do I need to give them?
You can ask your Funeral Director to arrange for there to be a collection in Lieu of Flowers at the funeral. The Funeral Directors will then arrange for the donation to be sent on to us. Please feel free to put them in touch with our Fundraising Tea, fundraising@herefordshirewt.co.uk if that would help you.
Can you supply donation envelopes?
We an supply our 'Wildflower' donation leaflets upon request. Please contact Josie, j.croft@herefordshirewt.co.uk to request these.
The person we are collecting in memory of was passionate about a particular project, can the donation go towards that?
Yes, if you would like, you can direct where the donation made is allocated. For example, if your loved one was passionate about the River Wye, you may choose to donate towards the Recovering Our Rivers campaign or if they were a keen ornothologist, you may choose to support the annual Curlew Count.
You don't have to specify where your donation is directed towards, but know that any gift, large or small, makes a real difference to Herefordshire's wildlife and wild spaces.
