About the event

The pearl-bordered fritillary is among the species that thrive here and rare elsewhere. The  colony at Ewyas Harold is of national importance. We may also be lucky enough to see a grizzled skipper and a green hairstreak, two other butterflies that are flying in May. The wonderful mosaic of habitats on the common make it home to a wide number of species – a delightful place to spend an afternoon.
