About the role

The Flycatcher is Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s natural history journal, published annually. After a pause in production, we have reformed a small editorial team to publish our next issue in 2025.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reach out to individuals, groups and organisations across the county to invite suitable article submissions as well as sourcing images or illustrations.

  • Select content to be included in each issue to ensure a variety of subjects to inform and enthuse our readership and inspire them to take action for nature themselves.

  • Collaborate with the designer (this may be the Head of Action for Nature or an external designer) to agree and create the final layout.
