Join a local food hub or growing project:

From Zero waste stalls, to community larders, to community orchards, there are many places in Herefordshire reducing the impact of food waste and production on our rivers.

Every bit of surplus used is less inputs into our soil, meaning less run-off into the river. And local, non-intensive food production means better soil health with the same outcome.  It’s also great to connect locally with people who are working towards the same things - better for our own health, and means we get more done together too!

Many of the local community groups listed on the Community Action page of the Wildlife Trust site have a community food element - there are also ways to find out more on the Talk Community site or the Herefordshire Food Alliance pages.
