Ice Age Ponds Project Manager P/ T (4 days per week) Fixed-term appointment for 10 months (with potential for extension)

Salary: £25,265 per annum (pro rata)

Closing date: Friday 19th October 2018

Location: Herefordshire

Can you help conserve Herefordshire’s Ice Age Ponds?

Herefordshire Wildlife Trust are working  in partnership with Herefordshire Amphibian and Reptile Team, and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust to survey and conserve the glacial ‘kettle hole’ ponds of Herefordshire. These unusual features are geologically fascinating and, due to their unique history, often represent important ecosystems for a variety of plants, invertebrates, amphibians, and mammals. Our project seeks to work with the communities, schools and landowners, providing opportunities to learn about and survey these ponds through the acquisition of new skills and ultimately working towards their conservation.

The project has received initial National Lottery support and Development funding has been awarded to help progress plans to apply for a full National Lottery grant at a later date.

Consequently, we are recruiting a Project Manager to manage the development phase of the project with the potential to extend the post subject to a successful application for delivery phase funding.

If you have experience in ecology (preferably wetland conservation) and project management we would be very interested to hear form you!

A full driving licence and your own vehicle will be required as the post holder will often need to travel within the project area.

Deadline for submission is 5pm Friday 19th October 2018.
Interviews will be on Friday 26th October 2018.
