Watercolour Painting at Bodenham Lake - reflections, refractions and wonders of light!

Event details

Sun, 18/08/2019 - 10:00am - 4:00pm

This workshop, led by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s Artist-in-Residence Richard Bavin, is aimed at those with some experience of watercolour painting.

We will be sketching outdoors in the morning at Bodenham Lake Nature Reserve which offers both the lake and the River Lugg as subjects for your paintings. Richard will give an introductory tutorial then one-to-one guidance.

In the afternoon, we will relocate indoors to the Jubilee Building at Queenswood Country Park, a few minutes’ drive away. Richard will give a tutorial on experimental techniques then the afternoon will focus on developing a finished painting from your morning’s sketches.
